Introduction
Transfer student services are provided jointly
by Pima Community College and The University of
Arizona. Transition Facilitator Barbara E. Elgutaa
is now available to assist transfer students,
addressing their unique needs and making the transition
to the UA smooth and successful.
Transfer students have a diverse background:
some may be heads of families, have attended an
out-of-state college, or have already completed
a degree at an Arizona community college. Ultimately,
a transfer student is adjusting to an entirely
new education system.
If you are a transfer student, the Transition
Facilitator is here to help by connecting you
to the UA’s academic and student services.
Some of the services involved may be Admissions,
Financial Aid, academic advisors, tutoring services,
Career Services, Counseling Services, the Dean
of Students Office, and the Department of Multi-Cultural
and Student Success.
Congratulations on your decision to pursue your
degree here at The University of Arizona, and
welcome to the Wildcat Family! We look forward
to meeting you and assisting you during this transitional
period, and wish you the best during your academic
