Importance and
Impact of Parent & Family Giving

Philanthropic gifts from University of Arizona parents have been
growing at a consistent and significant rate over the past three
years. Parents have been invited to participate in the high
quality educational experience offered UA students via
philanthropic gifts for the last 23 years. The number of parents
pledging support, as well as the level of giving, has increased
every year. As a result, the UA Parents & Family Association has
been able to provide essential funding for programs that
directly affect the quality of education offered students.
Institutions across the country
have recognized the integral role that parents and family
members play in a successful higher education experience. The
University of Arizona has developed programs to encourage
parents and family members to participate in building the best
learning environment possible for all students. In partnership
with The University of Arizona Foundation’s Annual Giving
Office, parents and family members are offered an opportunity to
support programs and initiatives that directly benefit students.

makes a memory? Delicious food? Friendly gatherings? Good
advice? For hundreds of UA students, one of the fondest memories
they’ll take from college will be the weekly Thai food fests
prepared by Engineering Professor Supapan Seraphin. 
Does
the name Tommy Bruce sound familiar to you? If it doesn’t, don’t
worry because soon you’ll be hearing it a lot!
