Faculty
Fellows:
Suzanne Cummins, lecturer
and Faculty Fellow, was honored in March of
2006 with The University of Arizona Foundation
Leicester & Kathryn Sherrill Creative Teaching
Award.
This university-wide honor distinguishes
one individual each year in recognition of outstanding
innovation and creativity in teaching.
Moira Geoffrion, professor
at the College of Fine Art, received the James
Anthony Sustained Excellence in Teaching Award
in the spring of 2006. The award is given to
a senior faculty member who receives excellent
ratings from students for many years, and also
recognizes mentoring beyond the classroom.
Dean of Students Staff:
Lisa Lovallo, Director
of Development-Student Life, received the Honors
College Outstanding Teaching Award Eller College
of Management. This award is in recognition
of valuable contributions to the Honors Community.
Lisa is beginning her second year teaching
at the Eller College of Management in addition
to her work at the Dean of Students office.
Anthony Skevakis, Program
Coordinator for Judicial Affairs & Educational
Outreach, received both The President's Award
for Servant Leadership and The Outstanding Graduate
Student Leader of the Year Award.
Melissa Vito, Vice
President for Student Affairs,
was recognized at the June 2006, Department of
Education Meeting in Washington, DC, with the
Department of Education Model Program Award.
The award recognizes the program instilled at
the University which is working at changing the
culture of high-risk drinking among the Greek
population.
