Formats for Citing References
An important element that should be included in all
research papers is proper acknowledgement of the sources
of information used to create the assignment. The method
used for providing proper documentation is parenthetical
references or notes at the point in the paper where
the information is presented. A bibliography or reference
list is used at the end of the paper listing all of
the sources used.
Various formatting systems have been
developed by different academic disciplines. Listed
below are various web links that provide additional
information on different formats. Please consult with
your instructor to know the exact citing style required
for the assignment.
